“i like your christ, i do not like your christians. your christians are so unlike your christ.” – mohandas gandhi
a few weeks ago, a man from missouri came to our university preaching “christianity” to the students at the university center. apparently, he comes to humboldt state every year to repeat the same message. though his goal may be to turn other towards christ, he usually scares off hundreds instead. our homosexual student body took his gay-bashing well. gay couples responded to his intense anti-queer speech by making out in front of him.
and i quote (from a video uploaded of this man’s visit on facebook by one of my peers):
“i was a pot-smoking, pill-popping pagan when i went to unity college. i was a baaaad boy, just like a lot of you (he shakes his pointer finger in the air to portray disapproval). but you know something? jesus set me free. i’m drug-free, pervert-free, alcohol-free… i’m free from sin!”
another part of his speech: “and i use the word ‘man’ very loosely around here because i see a lot of weak-kneed, limp-wristed gutless men around here.” the man then begins to mock the whole “hand gesture” that people use to make fun of homosexuals. the crowd yells various things, like “stop looking in the mirror!” and “you do not know us!” etc, and the man continues to mock homosexuals. he continues to speak. “sisssiiiies and fairies! you know, god is looking for some men! he’s looking for some men!”
“you might have a little fun for a season; you might get your little rights and march around the streets of america with your signs, but you won’t ever escape the wrath of god.”
the world is craaazy.

Crazy, indeed! LOL @ how the gays got back at him!
